Today’s card is an interactive one using the Circle Card Thinlits and Timeless Talk stamp that I made back in May but hadn’t posted it yet. I wanted to make a card with a LP record for my dad who loves to play music. Some of you may be saying, what is that?! Okay let me explain . . . some time ago, way back in the day there were phonographs and there were long play albums instead of cds. Am I dating myself, or what? I’m not that old but I still do have some!
Card Details
To make the record, I used 3 different sizes from my Circle Collection Framelits for the groove look. I embossed the Basic Black card stock with clear embossing powder and then adhered each layer and viola! instant record – love it! I made two of these – one for each side of the card circle. I also used the now retired music note wheel.
When I was done with the card, I felt it still needed something, so I went over to my stamps and, by now you know which one I picked up – that’s right, my favorite Gorgeous Grunge stamp to give it the wow effect I was looking for. I like it!
I always wanted to make a ‘swing card’ like this, but it was too much trouble having to use an exacto knife, etc. for the cut out – now it’s SO EASY with the Circle Card Thinlits! Not only can you make an interactive card with the Circle Card Thinlits, but there are also other shapes and sayings you could use! See the picture below. So much fun!
Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . . Brunie
