Here’s a card I made for my husband using The Open Sea stamp, and a couple of other retired stamps in my stash. I know he likes the sea and boats so I decided to make one with a nautical theme.
I used the faux layer and masking technique. I also embossed the Off the Grid stamp on the Crumb Cake card stock layer with gold embossing powder. I loved the way this card came out. He was very much impressed and asked where I got the picture and how I did the colors. I explained that it wasn’t a picture but I made it by using a couple of stamps and lots of sponging. It’s so much fun to see the amazement on the faces of those who are not crafty and show them what we can do with stamps by turning a plain card stock into a beautiful picture!
