My dad asked me to make him a card for his ’92’ year old cousin so I gladly started working on one and this is what I came up with. Doesn’t it feel great when someone likes your work and asks you to make a special card for them? I felt honored that my dad asked me – how sweet! I thought of the Hello, Doily Background Stamp right away knowing that she might like doilies. This Hello Doily stamp also reminds me of my mom’s crochet doilies – she was always crocheting one and there was always one on the tables.
My dad wanted me to put how many years his cousin was celebrating on the card so I put in on the front. Now mind you, I didn’t have a Spanish sentiment so I typed it up and punched it with my Word Window Punch. I keep telling myself I need to get the Teeny Tiny Wishes in Spanish. Now here’s something we didn’t expect . . . my dad’s cousin received the card and thanked my dad for it and asked him jokingly why he added another year – it turns out she was 91 years old! Oh well… now his will be the first card she has next year to celebrate her 92nd birthday.
