How would you feel if you received a card that had the message . . . “My thoughts are happiest when you’re in them” and on top of that has a super cool string art piece right smack in the middle of the card. Wow… I know I would feel special and loved. And this is today’s card.
We learned this technique at my monthly technique club. The technique is called Spirelli. This technique dates back to the 1800s and although it looks complicated, it is simple to make. All you need is a scallop shape piece of cardstock, string and 2 sided tape and you’re ready to go. I chose to skip 5 scallops for this card instead of the usual 3 scallops for my wrapping. To give it some bling, I placed a Vintage Faceted Designer Button (new this year) in the center and topped it with a rhinestone. I used the NEW Chevron Embossing Folder to give the card even more texture.
