Today’s festive card was created by using the guitar from Epic Celebrations and the die from Celebrate You Thinlits. Are you wondering how I made this card with the streaks running down? It was a pleasant accident.
Here’s my story…I wanted to use the Brusho on a stencil so I decided to try it out with one of the Sweet Soiree masks. I started out by using watercolor paper because of the amount of water I was going to use with the Brusho. This was my first attempt at using Brusho with a mask. It didn’t come out quite as as I imagined, but that’s okay. Originally, I just wanted the streaks to be individual streaks, but I didn’t tape down my mask which you should when using the Brusho. As a result, when I spritzed the brusho with water it seeped to the back of the mask which allowed the brusho to spread more. When I picked up the mask from the cardstock, it had these thick streaks which ran into each other. At first I was going to throw it out, but then I looked at it again, and decided to come up with something festive for these lively colors. I stamped the guitar and fuzzy cut it then added the Celebrate die cut. It still needed something so I added a couple of metallic enamels (Love these!) and now I felt it was done.
What do you think of my happy accident? Leave me a comment below.
