Fresh Fruit For Birthday

Today is my birthday! Isn’t it nice when your birthday falls on a holiday? That means no work or school and allows you to celebrate in a more relaxing way! Last night, I decided to make a card in honor of my birthday  (aka another excuse for squeezing in some more stamping) using the Fresh Fruit set. I’ve been wanting to ink up this set and hadn’t had a chance.

Fresh Fruit

Have you ever seen a stamp in the catalog and not sure whether to get it or not? How about one that you liked, bought it and when you stamped with it, you loved it? That’s what happened to me. I liked this set since the Annual Catalog came out but didn’t get it right away. When I bought it, I didn’t ink it up right away (though I really wanted to) but as soon as I stamped that first peach onto my cardstock, I fell in love with it and can’t wait to stamp all the other images.

Fresh Fruit

Since my favorite color is green, I made my card base Cucumber Crush–not a color that I’ve used often and don’t know why because I like it. I love this watercolor set and the various images of fruit, flowers and sentiments. The spots that seem uninked are actually the way the stamp was designed in order to give it a more realistic look. Summer is ending and my peaches will soon be gone from the stores, but at least I’ll have them whenever I want on paper.

To celebrate my special day, I am giving away a small gift along with a thank you card to anyone who places an online order of $30 or more (before shipping and tax) during my birthday week (September 5 – 10)! When ordering, please use host code 9CT6RMF7 if your order is less than $150. Click here to shop at my online store. Don’t forget this week’s special offers promotion. See them here.

Thanks for stopping by . . . until next time . . . Brunie
