My Stampin’ Up! Convention Highlights

The 2013 Stampin’ Up! Convention was a great experience!  There were 25 prize patrols which meant everyone was a winner in addition to the 3 all-attendee giveaways!  The last prize patrol was the best one of them all — 25 people won ALL the stamp sets in the upcoming Holiday catalog!!  Wow – can you imagine?!!  Wish I had one that prize!!  I’m grateful for all the goodies I received.

  • 5 stamp sets from the Annual Catalog – 3 for our Make & Takes and 2 Giveaways
  • 2 Stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog,
  • 2 Simply Created Kits from the Holiday catalog,
  • Baker’s Twine,
  • Washi Tape,
  • Undefined Carving Stamp and
  • a nice backpack with pockets galore!   I stuffed all my swaps, prizes and everything else I could in there which was quite a bit!  Every year Stampin’ Up! gives a bag to all attendees and this year’s bag was white and silver in honor of the 25th anniversary.

Can you imagine 2,984 cards being sent out from one location at one time?!  That’s what happened at convention on Thursday night to set a new Guinness World Record!  So glad I was part of it!  Many others would have participated if it wasn’t for the time issue.  Because the cards needed to be inspected one by one, going through the line took extremely long so we weren’t able to send all the cards that were ready to be mailed but enough to set the record!  Cool, huh?

Another event I participated in was a Stampin’ Up! service project for the Primary Children’s Medical Center in SLC, Utah.  We put together 2,000 birthday kits for children in the hospital that were delivered on Friday.  Stampin’ Up! also donated $25,000 worth of products.  Stampin’ Up! loves to give back!

You’re going to LOVE, LOVE  some of the new products that are coming out soon!  Can’t wait to show you as soon as we’re allowed to.

The convention finished in grand style with an all-attendee giveaway, shooting sparks and confetti.  So glad I was able to attend and also spend time with my friend Nicki and, of course, meeting new friends.  We had a great time!

Come back tomorrow to see my 3 x 3 swap.  Time to get ready to go back home.  Boy am I tired . . .but It’s been a memorable experience I wouldn’t have missed!

Till next time . . . have a wonderful and creative day!
