Due to some manufacturing issues several months ago at Stampin’ Up!, the Embossing Buddy was unavailable…. but good news – it is now available for purchase!
Why do you need an Embossing Buddy? Have you ever tried embossing and had embossing powder or glitter stick in areas you did not intend it to be? This is where the Embossing Buddy comes in. It eliminates static on your paper which will then keep the embossing powder and glitter from sticking to your paper. This will create a more clean and professional look.
So how do I use it? Rub the Embossing Buddy on the paper, stamp your image with Versa Mark ink, or Craft Ink and pour embossing powder over your image and shake off the excess. (The embossing powder should stick only on the image) Then use your heat tool to melt the powder onto the image.
What other uses does it have? Rub the Embossing Buddy over the surface of a bold image stamp to help it accept ink evenly.
You can also use it with your Big Shot. Rub the Embossing Buddy on the cardstock and Big Shot plates whenever you’re using the edgelits, banners and framelits. You will find that they will stay put and not stick to your plates! Ask me how I know? As I was working on my swaps for convention, the static on my plates kept lifting my banners as I was adjusting them so I decided to try the Embossing Buddy and viola! It worked!!! I was jumping with joy as I breezed through my cutting.
