Time of Year

Happy World Card Making Day! Hope you’re finding time to stamp today.

Time of Year

Today’s card features the Time of Year Host stamp. You can make quick and easy cards because the Thinking of You sentiment is the main focus. After stamping Thinking of You,  stamp the occasion and die cut with the Bunch of Banners Framelits popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For my 1st card, I used the Faux Layer Technique to create my side border. I sponged with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and stamped with Cajun Craze. The Thinking of You was embossed with Clear Embossing Powder using the Chocolate Chip ink.

Time of Year Christmas

For my second card I masked the center with an Oval cut out using the Layering Ovals Framelits and sponged all around the oval. This created my white space in the middle. I stamped the holly with Always Artichoke and embossed the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler and clear embossing powder.

In case you’re not familiar with this technique below are the details.

Masking Technique

  • Die cut an oval shape
  • Place it in the middle of your card base and hold in place or adhere with temporary adhesive or post it note
  • Sponge all around your oval die cut, then stamp the holly
  • Remove oval die cut and now you have a white area to stamp your sentiment
