Watercolor Wings & Butterfly Basics Birthday

For today’s card I used images from three stamp sets – Watercolor Wings, Butterfly Basics and the sentiment from Birthday Blooms. All 3 of these stamps were carried over onto the new catalog, and I’m glad because they’re great stamps to own.

Card Details

Here are the details: I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink and then embossed it onto the vellum with clear embossing powder. The best way to do this is to make sure your heat tool is hot before you start embossing on the vellum – this will eliminate any possibility of your vellum scorching or getting bent. I stamped the honeycomb with Sahara Sand ink and the fern with Mint Macaron on Whisper White cardstock and then adhered the vellum over it with a couple of glue dots. For my big butterfly, I stamped off the 1st image with Watermelon Wonder and then stamped the edges again with Watermelon Wonder (one of my favorite colors).
