Happy Mother’s Day Accordion Card

I always like to make an extra special card for Mother’s Day so I chose to make this accordion card for my mom and mother-in-law. My dear mom has been through a lot physically – she’s been in the hospital / rehab more than at home the past couple of years. She is the strongest person I know and I admire her. Despite all her ailments and challenges, she always remains optimistic and is always concerned about others. She is very special and I am blessed!

I cased this card from Julie Japes – changed the colors, ribbon and added the dress cut out with the Dress Up Framelits (retiring soon). Here’s how it looks closed and a side view.

To make this card, you will need to adhere two 4″ x 12″ strips and one 4″ x 11-1/2″ (middle section) of Designer Series Paper together. The ends are punched with the ‘must have’ Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (love it!). Each panel is 2-1/2″ inches wide.

Because this card is too bulky to fit in a regular size envelope, I made a card box with my envelope punch board.

I like the way it turned out. How about you?  Leave me a comment in the gray box after the supplies and let me know what you think of it.

Till next time . . .  have a wonderful and blessed day! Brunie
